SDI Research Diver
The SDI Research Diver Course takes an in-depth look at all of the following and more:
Water environment, fresh and salt water
• Ecology
• Food chains
• Habitat
• Niche
• Interactions with other forms
• Basic oceanography
• Coral reefs
• Kelp
• Bays and open coast
The marine animals
• Fishes
• Mollusks
• Invertebrates

Diving methodology

Conservation
At the end of this course you will be proficient at:
• Plan dives
• Test and check all equipment

Typical diary
9:30am-10am: You’ll start with an introduction on the layout of the course, followed by filling in any required documentation
10am-11am: lectures
12:10pm-5:30pm: 2 Research practice dives.

What do I need to start?
Must be a certified diver
Demonstrate mature and sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution.

Am I fit to dive?
Read this medical questionnaire, Medical statement if you can answer yes to any of the questions. You will need to get medical clearance from a doctor before continuing with the course.
